This study theoretically examined the twisting scheme of chenille yarn. Four types of chenille yarn were selected for practical verification. Results showed that there was almost no deviation between the twist value under theoretical techniques and the actual test values. The linear density of the core yarn and the pile yarn, especially the pile yarn density, has a significant impact on the twisting scheme of chenille yarn.
The study also examined which types of chenille yarn were selected for practical verification. Results showed that there was almost no deviation between the twist value under theoretical techniques and the actual test values. The linear density of the core yarn and the pile yarn, especially the pile yarn density, has a significant impact on the twisting scheme of chenille yarn.
Chenille yarn has a velvety appearance. This velvety appearance is achieved by placing chopped fibers between two yarn bundles. These two yarns are then highly twisted together, clamping the fibers between them. To prevent fiber shedding, low-melting-point yarns are sometimes also used in the core.
Chenille yarn should not be mixed with flocked yarn, which consists of a twisted yarn and flocking to be attached to it. This study investigated the effects of chenille yarn properties (pile type, pile length, and twist) on the boiling compression behavior of chenille yarn. Different chenille yarns were produced on a chenille machine using a range of pile types, twists, and pile lengths. Nm 4 and Nm 6 count chenille yarns were made from different pile types: viscose, acrylic (0.9 dtex), acrylic (1.3 dtex), combed cotton, carded cotton, and open-end cotton, with two pile lengths of 0.7 and 1.0 mm, and two different twists of 700 and 850 T/m, respectively. The results showed that pile type, pile length, and twist had a significant impact on the boiling compression ratio of the chenille yarn.
This soft and fluffy chenille yarn is ideal for arm knitting. This beautiful yarn is often known for making blankets, but it can also be used in other items: pillows, scarves, etc.
This chenille yarn is an excellent material for any tightly knitted handmade product. It is naturally stain-resistant, keeping you looking fresh. Unlike any other type of yarn, tufted yarn is tufted. It is the ideal choice for making blankets, rugs, pillows, and pet beds.
